SFG HYBRID COOLING is the latest technology, which utilizes the working principle of dry cooling tower and wet cooling tower as well simultaneously. These hybrid cooling systems are commonly used when water is available but not in the quantities necessary to support a 100% wet cooled system. Hybrid cooling towers completely isolate the process cooling fluid from the atmosphere. This is accomplished by combining the heat rejection equipment with a heat exchanger in a closed circuit tower. A closed loop system protects the quality of the process fluid, reduces system maintenance, and provides operational flexibility at a slightly higher initial cost.
Dry cooling towers have a wide and increasing application in industry. These are designed, where the direct cooling to the media is required and are mostly used in air cooled chillers and where direct cooling to oils or fluids are required in various process industry.
Dry cooling tower is equipped with a cooling coil, which can be of copper or cs with aluminum finning over them. The coil assembly is then induce drafted or force drafted with air on them. The dry cooling towers work on the principle of convection heat loss, with ambient air temperature as reference. These are mostly used where fluids have very high temperatures (80˚c +) and to be dropped down substantially.
The sfg dry cooling towers are so designed that along with the conventional working of dry cooling towers, they give an enhanced cooling during summers, when the air is hot and the efficiency of machine decreases.
